FTV Proclad is investing in excess of £6 million in the latest CNC technology as it looks toward a period of sustained growth with an order book which is at record levels in the company’s 40 year history.
The company which employs 140 people at its Glenrothes site in Viewfield Industrial Estate has seen a significant increase in demand in recent months and thanks to RSA grant funding from Scottish Enterprise is able to make the massive investment which is set to create additional job opportunities.
The £6 million spend will see eight new state of the art CNC machines installed to meet the increase in demand from the subsea market where FTV Proclad is making significant in roads, and also thanks to the revolutionary Subsea Pro Flow engineering solution.
The investment will not only increase its capacity and capability but will also open up new market opportunities as the company aims to build on its success with new projects and solutions.
Proclad Group CEO Yaseen Jaffer, explained “This is one of the biggest investments ever made in capital equipment for a Fife company which demonstrates our confidence in the future success of the company.”
