We have an exciting opportunity for an NDT Chargehand to join our team and learn new skills and experience whilst enhancing those already attained.  The role demands accuracy, diligence, resilience and would suit a self-motivated individual.

FTV Proclad International Limited is a worldwide market and technological leader in the protective weld cladding of pipeline components.

 

A market competitive wage will be offered depending on experience.  Benefits of employment include 27 days holiday per year on a pro-rata basis (including public holidays), an employer pension contribution of 7% of salary and life assurance.

 

Outline of Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Organise /schedule NDT Inspectors workload
  • Plan shifts holiday working with NDT Inspectors
  • Ensure best work practices are employed
  • Liaise with customer TPIs
  • Responsible for planning/execution NOIs
  • Ensure relevant documentation is accurate and provided timely to QA department
  • Ensure the timely raising of NCRs
  • Actively promote EHS practices
  • Participating in continuous improvement groups.
  • Administering process disciplines.
  • Manage the optimisation and utilisation of NDT Inspection equipment.
  • Address lateness and attendance as per the company procedures
  • Managing absenteeism – return to work interviews
  • Support management conduct effective disciplinary discussions
  • Manage housekeeping routines and 6S area audits

 

Education/Experience - The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Good process and product knowledge
  • MPI, LPI and UT certification
  • Time Served
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be flexible, able to adapt to different situations which may require excessive, unsociable hours
  • Ability to deal with Inspectors on an individual basis
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to use initiative
